But not a mention of those truly awesome tigerskin shorts? Will they be enhancing his appearances throughout next year, Carshare wonders?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><span>Great Whernside<\/span><\/font>:- it\u2019s Yorkshire Championships \u2013 who let these Lancastrians in? The classic AS race, as good as they come. Damp through the midway bogs, but much better than the horrible Sunday downpour&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fellrunner.org.uk\/results\/race09\/09_great_whernside.html\">results<\/a><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Clwydian Hills:-<\/font> Rhys was there:- &quot;Grim weather early in the morning meant the route was shortened and made navigationally easier (pretty sure not an A category any more!), so a tinge of disappointment on the start line as the weather cleared fairly well in the end minus strong winds on the ridge. Anyway, a really good race in the end, with the lead changing hands between 6 or 7 runners regularly. Took the lead off the final summit to the bottom but couldn&#8217;t hold off a couple of runners on the last few hundred metres flat section. But a real good tussle all round. Only brown vest there, but familiar colours in Totley and Pennine present.
