Exterminator :- The results<\/a> service from Mark has been excellent throughout the year, many thanks, DPFR results are out , and let\u2019s not take for granted all the hard work involved in maintaining this well supported series. Many strong indications of Relay Potential\u2026
   DT \u2013 Peris Horseshoe isn\u2019t that easy, but doing that and the Exterminator next day is going some\u2026(Dave Sykes)
       And when will Jon Morgan line up with the rest of us, Dentdale, Exterminator \u2013 and was it Leg 4 change at Patterdale also?<\/font><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Helvellyn Triathlon<\/a>:- Rob Davison an excellent 60th overall, 21st in his category. Looks as though he pulled up a lot of places on the run. Anyone else there?<\/p>\n

Peris Horseshoe:- results.<\/a> Martin has kindly copied down some results from the sticky labels,<\/span> <\/span>There may be others, full results in about a week, and also photos to follow .  \u201cWeather was kind to us, with improving visibility as the day wore on (apart from on Snowdon).\u201d

Great Yorkshire Run<\/a><\/span>:- anyone running round Sheffield\u2019s roads? results<\/a> \u2013 far too complicated for me to sift through\u2026<\/p>\n

Bullock Smithy \u2013 <\/span>some results are here<\/a> , not easy to interpret as yet. Nicky looks to be round in 11hrs 31., which appears extremely well up\u2026\u201d<\/span> I had a really good run and was 4th overall until the last 2 miles when I got lost in a housing estate and was overtaken by a group of 7 (including 2 women) who all finished in 11.27 while I finished in 11.31. So think that made me 11th! \u201c<\/p>\n

Shelf Moor.<\/span> \u2013 with some searching, results can be found here.<\/a> , loads of picture too including one of the winning team in the river cooling down!.  Ian sends\u201d A great race with an excellent descent in perfect weather. well marshalled and loads of prizes including Rescue Ale for the first 30ish. More beer for the team prize, I’ve got Tony Heron’s\u201d
DT \u2013 Championship next year with Coniston, Holme Moss, Ennerdale ? (only hearsay\u2026)<\/p>\n

Ben Nevis \u2013 results<\/a> –seems to have been right horrible? Indeed it was, as Nick Kirk sends:- \u201c\u201cAt the start the organisers announced that the wind was 40mph with gusts up to 60mph, a chill factor on top of -1C and visibility less than 10m. Being a \u2018newcomer\u2019 to the race this was very daunting, especially as the cloud base level was only few hundred metres, at least we did not see how far it was to the top. The weather was foul with heavy rain throughout the whole of the race with very strong winds around Red Burn and along the plateaux. However, the race was very well organised with excellent mountain rescue cover. It was very wet and slippery underfoot which made for a very interesting descent especially the steep scree and then grassy bank into red Burn. Jon Coe had an excellent run followed by the rest of the DP travelling contingent. I will definitely enter this race again and would recommend it, Nick Kirk\u201d

Grisedale Horseshoe . \u201c<\/span>This race is traditionally run in thick mist, driving rain and gale force winds and this year didn’t disappoint.  Only a small Dark Peak turn-out, there’s usually more of us.\u201d

Blackshaw Head<\/a>:- <\/span>A good little race, 5.5ml, BS. It started in that first field of Calderdale Leg 4, then plenty of wet, rough moorland to the north, with a horrible uphill, wet, into the wind finish through the fields where Leg 4 sets off. <\/span><\/p>\n

Great Longstone Results<\/a><\/p>\n

Kilnsey Show.<\/span> \u2013 this video<\/a> is superb. Not often we see the front runner , running where we are walking. And the descent gully is as nasty as it looks \u2013 no exaggerations anywhere in this.<\/p>\n

Arnison Crag<\/span>. 29th August . \u201cA great race, all part of the Patterdale Dog Show.  Slightly longer course than usual due to excessively high bracken.\u201d   1st     Chris Waters        Ambleside         23.56

Alpe d\u2019Huez:-<\/span> We\u2019ve all watched it, a select few have biked up it, but has anyone previously run it?
Lynn is \u201cJust back from cycling in the Alps.  Some of Norton wheelers joined me and Darrell for the last 2 weeks and we all took part in the Alpe d\u2019Huez time trial.  While the rest of us did it on bikes Russ Beresford ran it!

Mike\u2019s 40th birthday weekend.<\/span>
Hazel sends:\u201d We\u2019re not planning anything big but are hoping that people might be able to stay up in Langdale after Three Shires Race and join us in the Old Dungeon Ghyll for a drink.  Camping is obviously available at the Great Langdale campsite and on Sunday people have the perfect opportunity to recee all or some of the Langdale route. Mike knows about this but what he doesn\u2019t know is that I\u2019m trying to get him a very large collection of beer so if you speak to anybody please ask them to bring a bottle of beer, preferably less than 4.5%.\u201d<\/p>\n

DT – Can anyone help over whether substitutions are viable? I\u2019m thinking there may be a priority waiting list? I\u2019ll sort out a decent map and Route Notes\u2026
\u201csubstitutions are highly unlikely, any non-runners should inform the organiser to then use the waiting list\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Mountain Trial –<\/span> \u201c LDMT is in Eskdale this year and based at Eskdale YH, is there a plan for meeting up on a campsite or car sharing ?\u201d
