Conditions were good – occasional showery bursts but otherwise clear and not too windy. Lloyd knocked 3 mins off the record, Simon Coldrick 2nd, Scoffer 3rd, Nick Craig 4th and me 5th. All 5 of us were under last years winning time and the first 3 inside the old record. No official results yet but there seemed a reasonable number running.” – -DT – thanks, Simon.

Old County Tops Team Prize:- Dave Sykes”thought I’d let you know that DP retained the team prize at this event. Ash and Ben finished in 8.50ish, Greg and I in 9.11 and Karen and Pete FS not long after. Kev and Phil also completed well. This despite pretty poor weather. Organisation was excellent as was the food.”
DT – These Team Prizes in the Big Events now gathering pace?

Kildwick:- results. A last minute wait till the organiser turned up, then a scuttle from the trees sheltering from the downpour. The rain eased off, so just wet, slippy, and get round the moor safely. More prizes left at the end than runners, so a give-away prize giving. It’s these Keighley folk, they put loads from the proceedings back to the runners. Lots of Dark Peak teams up there including Ben Robson and Ashley, Kev Saville and Phil Cox, Dave Sykes and partner, Bob Johnstone and partner and myself and Pete Fraser-Smith. Weather was nowhere near as bad as I had been expected luckily and we escaped with occasional showers and clag on the summits but otherwise not too bad. Ben and Ashley were the first finishers in from Dark Peak in around 8 hrs 50 and DP may have won the team prize but I had to leave before they had calculated whether it was us or Bowland.
