The route up is a cracking 2000ft of ascent, all runnable up tracks, trods and open fell with deep boggy sections, walking only the steep last 2-300ft where the rocks were incredibly slippy, Although Dave Taylor had disappeared in to the mist with the lead group, Ashley, Keith and myself all topped out at the ‘Nick’ within 10m of each other. A rocky slippy descent followed by eyeballs out grass made for a cracking finish. A brilliant race and well worth the trip despite the weather.”

Noonstone Results. just Jim Bell, 39th, and Geoff Kirk, 73rd.

As ever, many thanks to the people who are copying down results from the trusted sticky labels, please keep them coming… Belvoir Marathon “Rhian Evans was the 2nd lady here, her first ever marathon!. I, Sam Williams was the 30th bloke.
