Tim was 4th, we await news of who he&#8217;s running for?<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cs.man.ac.uk\/temples-bin\/hc.pl?a=list&amp;d=hc&amp;f=kinder-trial-2009\">Kinder Trial Results<\/a>&#8211;&nbsp; <font color=\"#000000\">From Simon Patton:-<\/font> &#8220;<font color=\"#000000\">Excellent race this &#8211; its a great shame that there were 2 other competing events on at the same time (Mickleden and Pennine Bridleway). Weather very cold but visibility was good with the occasional snow shower blowing in. No results up yet but a good showing from Dark Peak. Race was won by Simon Coldrick with Nick Craig second (both Pennine &#8211; local knowledge might have helped!?) and Lloyd 3rd.&#8221;<br \/>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; DT &#8211; although there were two local races, perhaps this is the way forwards? Kinder Trial was full, and Mickleden was close to its limit. More nearby races alleviates the overcrowding?<\/font><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><font color=\"#000000\">Glen sends:-<\/font> &#8220;<\/span><\/font>Found a brown vest left over once the Hut had been cleared after the Kinder Trial. I&#8217;ll bring it up Wednesday. I&#8217;ll happily swap it for a sense of direction &#8211; stuffed up 2 checkpoints and finished well down the list today.&#8221;<br \/>DT &#8211; happily sorted, it belongs to Willy Kitchen&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.denbydaletravellers.co.uk\/\">Mickleden Straddle Results<\/a>:- <\/font><font color=\"#000000\">frozen hard, very firm and icy enough on the drop coming home. Cold at times, especially coming over Cut Gate top on the return leg, but very warm along the dams. Superb food afterwards &#8211; that takes some beating! Dave Taylor was home first, a very strong flier from Steve Storey, and Julie Gardner first LV40.<br \/><\/font><br \/><font color=\"#0000ff\">Pennine Bridleway:- <\/font><font color=\"#000000\">Looking at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fellrunner.org.uk\/results\/race09\/09_pbwrelay.html\">Results<\/a>, the Vets were 16th &#8211; 4th Vets Team, and Ladies were 44th, also 4th Team. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Great Lakes Run<\/font> :- Ambleside AC \/ Lakes Runner have moved the date&nbsp; to Saturday 27th June (the date in the FRA Fixtures booklet is wrong). This is to avoid clashing with the Tebay Championship race.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Stretton Hills<\/span> :- contrary to the Calendar, there is a 400 limit. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.merciafellrunners.org.uk\/node\/937\">Pre-entries<\/a> . as of 28th January.<br \/><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nimra.org.uk\/cart\/entries.asp\">Ireland Entries<\/a>&nbsp; (no panic here&#8230;)<br \/><\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amblesideac.org.uk\/Langdale_2009_entry-list.htm\">Langdale Entries:-<\/a>&nbsp; As of 28th January &#8211; 247 of them allocated. Pleased to see many new names from DPFR. For anyone not relying on a follow, and that&#8217;s dangerous at the best of times, I&#8217;ve got route notes. I know it well, and still regularly mess up, so finding time to recce is essential.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Half Pendle &#8211; entry needed &#8211;<\/font><font color=\"#000000\"> &#8220;If anybody who has an entry and decides in the next few weeks they will not run, can they contact Phil, <a href=\"mailto:phil.winskill@gmail.com\">phil.winskill@gmail.com<\/a>, &#8220;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Mystery Personality<\/font> &#8211; is John Myers (so I&#8217;m told&#8230;)<br \/>&#8220;We went to the indoor climbing wall in Kendal with some friends yesterday. Walked in through the front door to see a big &#8230;..(bottom) floundering around 10m off the ground, 5m from the overhanging wall. It took 5 mins to work out who it was and what was going on.<br \/>&#8211; &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; &#8211; had made the classic error of borrowing a short man&#8217;s rope. It worked O.K. on the way up but must have shrunk on the lower off, leaving him 10m off the ground with 5m of rope left &#8211; awesome! A strange kind of man on mam yo yo followed with his belayer having to climb up the wall and rely on the climber&#8217;s&nbsp; ballast in the event of a fall.
