A fortunate weather window let us up in warm, moist clagged conditions. No trouble for most, though one of our carload ventured near the town centre as a finishing variant&#8230;The route hasn&#8217;t changed much since Championship year, just that the climb goes on longer and the path down is just as horrible. Loads of free tea and cake, and a welcome initiative from the excellent&nbsp; Keswick organisers &#8211; due to the increased entry, they put extra prizes into envelopes.
