Wharfedale Off-road Marathon<\/a>:- Kenny turner has this on his list every year, it seems. A very good run now, 13th in 3:41:14. Not to be outdone, Andy Moore was 12th in the Half, in 1:44:18.<\/span><\/p>\n

World U23 Triathlon<\/a>:-   Across at Vancouver. Can’t say I know much about all this, but round here Alistair Brownlee (from Bingley H) is very highly rated, and he’s just won it. Olympics coming up?<\/span><\/p>\n

Welsh 1000m Results:-<\/a>   Must have been hot? Jackie was 10th, and Nicky 24th. They’e packing into these Siuperlong races indeed….<\/span><\/p>\n

 Lowe Alpine<\/a>:-  based on Glenfinnan….Day 1 Results<\/a>.   Overall Results.<\/a>   Many names – if you contact Carshare or the Webmaster, results can readily be put out on DPFR Results….and any news for Comments?<\/span><\/p>\n

"<\/span>Me (Jeff Marshall) and Mark Evans did the LAMM at the weekend (Couse D). We came 3rd in 10:48.39, the winners did it in 9:53.29. There were 140 starters." So deserved congrats to you both! <\/p>\n

Edale Country Fair<\/font>:- this note from the organiser:<\/span><\/p>\n

Many thanks to the Dark Peak members, friends and family who helped with the Country Day Fell Race marshalling on Sunday.  It is one of the many positive aspects of Dark Peak that so many people are willing to help at an event that is not a club organized race. Thanks to you the event went like clockwork.
As I promised the glorious weather arrived which made for an excellent day of running and enjoying the events in the Country Day field. The Country Day is an annual event to raise funds for Edale Village Hall and the local school.
Phil Winskill won again leading all the way followed by Richard Patton in second place. Janet McIver was again the first lady.
A great turnout with 189 starting and completing the race.

LakeDistrict Mountain Trial<\/font><\/span>:-14th September – " entries are open for this – link <\/a>– It got full last year!" .<\/span><\/p>\n

Pen y Ghent Results<\/a><\/font><\/span>:-  <\/span>This was the Yorkshire championship race, won by Ian Holmes, ahead of Andy Peace. Victoria Wilkinson was 1st Lady, followed by Jo Waite.
