A new, well marshalled race took a lung busting lane/ green lane up to the edge of Beeley Moor then back into the woods above the house, where Ron experienced Newtons 3rd law of motion when gravity got the better of him. Then a short steep zig zag up to the hunting tower [which is available as a holiday let] then on towards Chatsworth edge, at this point I think most realised this is longer than 5.75 miles [turned out to be 7.1miles] then descend to the meadows and back past the house to Calton Lees. For me this last 2miles being flat was a bit of a drag, it would of been nice to go up to the woods either side of the valley then have a downhill finish, but many might disagree. Thanks to Zoe and the marshals for putting
on the race and the local fare prizes.
