Plenty of time to keep picking up the points needed. The gale blew most of us up to Black Combe – and blew others up to its South Summit. Weather was a lot kinder than forecast just the couple of hours from Margery Hill to Bleaklow that were grim. We were last off and gradually overtook most teams, the last of them The North Face team just before Bleaklow Stones. The Montrail South team kept up the pressure on us and took a bit of time out of us from Snake to Brown Knoll. But we’d done enough to keep them at bay.
