A highly motivated Jim Paxman made the considerable journey to Ben Alder and in doing so established a commanding (perhaps unassailable?) lead in the competition. At a lofty 1148m and almost 13km from the nearest road this is the highest, remotest and highest-scoring (14710 points) trig logged to date. The race for the remaining podium spots could well go down to the wire. At the other end of the leader board Rachel Thorley has amassed 7 points from 6 trigs in the flatlands of the south-east and could be on course for the wooden spoon if she manages another 6 trigs. The lowest score from 12 trigs is currently Tom Pape\u2019s 2073.<\/p>\n
