If we win Creag Dhubh we can maybe secure 2<sup>nd<\/sup> but that\u2019s the best outcome with Keswick looking to comfortably take gold. In the V50s this is also the case but with Borrowdale already on for a comfortable win. This is providing that both the leading teams in each case actually field a team. The V40s is much more open with a point separating the top four. For this category it comes down to those last 3.4 miles of racing at Creag Dhudh. A win would mean gold but anything else is anyone\u2019s guess. All in all, we\u2019re on for podiums in all categories.<\/p>\n<p>The English open is a full-on battle with Keswick. We could do with beating them on their home turf at Grisedale, but this may be a tall order. Regardless of this we need to show them how to run at Ilam. Both these races will be tough, but we have a shot and just need a strong team out to get the points! The V40s looks quite open still with potential for gold. The V50s again is quite open and in both cases two wins would mean gold. So all we can take from that going forward is we need to win the team at both Grisedale and Ilam, so let\u2019s do it! <\/p>\n<p>    As for notable individual performances\u2026<br \/> In the British <strong>Max Wainwright<\/strong> has maximum points in the U23s. <strong>Oli Johnson<\/strong> is currently 3<sup>rd<\/sup> V40. <strong>Stephen Pyke<\/strong> is also 3<sup>rd<\/sup> in the V50s with <strong>Dave Taylor<\/strong> not far behind in 5<sup>th<\/sup>.<br \/> In the English Max and myself are equal 5<sup>th<\/sup> in the open class. Max is again leading the U23s with <strong>Nathan Lawson<\/strong> currently in 3<sup>rd<\/sup>. In the V40s <strong>Will Boothman<\/strong> is the highest places Dark Peaker in 12<sup>th<\/sup> after a storming run at Blackfell. <strong>John Hunt<\/strong> is 6<sup>th<\/sup> in the V50s, <strong>Joe Blackett<\/strong> 8<sup>th<\/sup> in the V55s, <strong>David Allen<\/strong> 3<sup>rd<\/sup> in the V60s, <strong>Keith Holmes<\/strong> 4<sup>th<\/sup> in the V65s, and <strong>David Tait<\/strong> 4<sup>th<\/sup> in the V70s. <br \/> Another worthy mention is <strong>Lova Chechik<\/strong>, who currently sits 6<sup>th<\/sup> in the Lakeland Classics.<\/p>\n<p> Congrats all and lets build on these strong results through the second part of the season!<\/p>\n<p> Cpt.
