If you missed ‘Excellence Through Misadventure’ on the big screen at The Sportsman, there’s a second chance to see it in a social setting in Manchester this coming Thursday. The film’s producers, Coldhouse Collective, have teamed up with the Patagonia Manchester store to stage a free screening that will also showcase the work of ‘Moors for the Future’ (MFTF) in helping us all to safeguard our wonderful upland landscapes. Both Patagonia and Coldhouse are active in the ‘1% for the Planet’ initiative, and Coldhouse donate this percentage of their profits to MFTF.<\/p>\n
The event is free and non-ticket, so if you fancy it just turn up at the door and grab a seat. It starts at 7pm and is due to finish at 9\/9:30. Charlie Hitchens from the Patagonia store promises an intimate and informal evening: “It’ll be a small, relaxed and casual film screening of local interest to our outdoor inclined audience focusing on a fell running group in the Peak District. Moors for the Future will also conduct a small presentation to raise awareness of environmental issues surrounding close-to-home moorland,” he said.<\/p>\n
“There will be a Q&A with Coldhouse and MFTF after the screening\/presentation. We will serve drinks and snacks during mingling time pre-event.”<\/p>\n
