
  
{"id":1580,"date":"2016-10-08T15:28:02","date_gmt":"2016-10-08T15:28:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/?p=1580"},"modified":"2016-10-08T15:28:02","modified_gmt":"2016-10-08T15:28:02","slug":"","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/1580","title":{"rendered":"@dpcalendar&#8217;s 50th Birthday Dozen &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Next year, your friendly neighbourhood calendar-slave turns fifty, in early May.  <\/p>\n<p>As a Kinder Dozen obsessive, I&#8217;ve sought out the permission of Ken Jones to organise a one-off &#8216;racing&#8217; of the Dozen &#8211; full, half or quarter to accommodate all comers &#8211; and in the hopes that someone might set a definitive fastest time to trump John Boyle&#8217;s fastest known.<\/p>\n<p>Irritatingly, the closest date to said birthday (6th May) clashes with the British Champs counter at Stuc a&#8217; Chroin, which might very well rule out some who would otherwise fancy taking the opportunity to have a pop; I wanted therefore to gauge likely demand for the different options, dates (from mid-April to mid-May), and venue (Snake Inn or Nag&#8217;s Head) before exploring options for pubs, food and camping availability.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, if you&#8217;d be interested in joining me to celebrate my gathering middle-age (or should that just be my gathering middle?), please can you express provisional interest and favoured dates etc. by completing the doodle poll set up for the purpose at <a href=\"http:\/\/doodle.com\/poll\/asdnpvvx4s738g5p\">http:\/\/doodle.com\/poll\/asdnpvvx4s738g5p<\/a><\/p>\n<p>All club members (and non-racing partners) most welcome.
