Congratulations to team captains Paul Fauset and John Snowden, for leading respectively the Open and Mixed Teams to victories in today’s Sheffield Way Relay.\u00a0 The Open team – Pippa Wilkie & Charlie Elliott (leg one); Will Boothman & Neil Northrop (leg two record); Glen Borrell & Jon Pemberton (leg three); Paul Elliott & Tony Woodard (leg four); and Paul Fauset & Simon Mills (leg five) – finished in 6:12:04, eight minutes clear of the pursuing Sheffield Running Club pair (and notwithstanding a wee hiccup at the leg 2\/3 changeover).\u00a0 Was that the Pertex I hear you mention?<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the mixed team (6:58:34) couldn’t quite match\u00a0their 2012 time, or indeed Totley Ladies (again), but we did beat Totley’s second women’s team, and had no Smiley Pacers to square up to this year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
