I am sitting at the side of the
A4069 where I am expecting Nicky’s peloton to cross in less than an
hours time having opted for the full Day 5 course from 1992. Steve and
Dave are already en route for the castle having taken the shorter route
along the Beacons Way. The trackers have been an amazing resource
although we seemed to be in a bit of a black hole in the Elan Valley
yesterday and Nicky’s tracker may not be turned on today as she appears
to be at the Day 4 camp still!! We have raised a significant amount of
money for Odyssey (there is still time to donate to recognise the
tremendous achievements of every one of the team). Hugo Iffla from
Odyssey wilol join us in Llandovery tonight and he met all the runners
on the summit of Cadair Idris on Wednesday in foul conditions where he
cooked them all bacon sandwiches washed down with steaming tea. The
camp crew have been amazing too and have had to contend with swarms of
midges when dismantling the camps so special thanks to Max, Lynda,
Gerald and Tammy.

Friday am: message on Twitter is brief but to the point – D4 All’s well.
