The emphasis is on fun and games and not on running a long way. This is a great place for any new starters, younger kids or children who would like an easier session. There’s plenty of opportunity for sprinting about like a mad thing while playing tig so anyone wanting to make sure they get plenty of exercise should still enjoy this group. The pace will be a little faster but the group is still very friendly. This group will suit children who would like to explore a little further and who are really starting to get a taste for running in the hills. The group will have a leader and a support runner, you do not need to send your child with a responsible adult. If you are sending your child with this group you are agreeing that you are happy for the run leader to take them out in the hills without you present. Children should carry their own bag with appropriate equipment – either a bumbag or a compact running vest top are ideal but a small rucksack will also work. This is still a fun and inclusive run, but there will be less time for games and more emphasis on going out for a good adventure.

If you have any questions, get in touch.

Each week you can join one of three groups, colour coded to match the DPFR club vest.
