There are three start times, 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45pm. We don’t want any stragglers in the dark, and we don’t want to be hanging around so please make an honest judgment of your start times and start promptly. There is a strict cut-off time of 8:00pm. If things aren’t gong to plan, please head back to the start.
Full FRA kit is required, and especially a headtorch.
There has been some gentle banter and the odd mishap with regard to the location of check point one on my Cakes of Bread race. This year to clarify things I have made the grouse butt (number 2) the check point, it is essentially in the same place as last years check point – immediately to the west of the same re-entrant junction (yes its reed infested) – see attached photo and map. The line of the grouse butts coming off Lost Lad direction point directly to the check point on ones approach. It is not difficult as long as you navigate!! and you are not “eye balls out”?
