Hathersage Church – Little John’s Grave

The traditional outing to Hathersage church, the first run of Summer!

Despite getting an extra hour of sunshine, a headtorch is mandatory.

This is the general route, shortcuts / break away groups may form. Its about 10 miles following the red line, it can be made longer going via High Neb, and half kilometre can be shaved off by omitting a visit to the Mill Pond (pink line).

You must bring a fully charged headtorch and kit to be self-sufficient in the winter. Full FRA race kit is considered minimum, and a survival bag is recommended.

For those attending a Dark Peak Run for the first time please read the key details https://dpfr.org.uk/wp_dpfr/club-runs-and-races/winter-runs and get in touch via wednesday-runs@dpfr.org.uk

Through the winter some people do some hilly road runs, but check weekly via the WhatsApp group that is on the members only facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/2220237427/announcements, or upon request.
